My parents' friends sent Patrick a typical Cuban "guayabera" outfit. This morning, we tried it on to make sure it fit.
It's incredible!

Thanksgiving Celebration
This year, I am thankful for an amazing son, a wonderful husband, and great parents and in-laws. I am so lucky to have food for my family, clothes on my back, and shelter from the cold. In these tough economical times, I am truly blessed.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Our turkey. Smaller this year, but a smaller crowd to feed.
Table - we're ready to go!
White meat
Stuffing muffins, made with love b my MIL
Dark meat
Sweet potatoes and bacon wrapped green beans
Obligatory mashed potatoes
Abu, Nana, Aba, and Patrick
Mikey is working, so I prepared a plate for him to freeze and heat up when he gets back.
The boy with dessert. Because we had cupcakes (among other things) he was convinced it was a birthday party. We had to sing.
Then we had to sing again.
And yet, again.
After singing to everyone in the family, he finally ate his cupcake.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thankful
Although Thanksgiving is actually tomorrow, we've been preparing since early this week. Today, Patrick had his Thanksgiving celebration at school. I think he enjoyed it.
A few days before, Patrick helps prepare the turkey.
Then, he thinks better of it and directs us on what to do.
School party
He introduced us to all his friends.
I love this long table - the kids are so well-behaved.
Thankful turkey - all the kids said what they are thankful for.
Naturally, Patrick is thankful for his Nana.
Happy Thanksgiving!

The First of Many, I'm Sure
Today, when I picked Patrick up from school, his teacher told me he'd had a hard time keeping his hands to himself. As a matter of fact, he was sent to time-out TWICE. Having never been there, he wasn't sure what was going on.
Later, I asked him if he was hitting his friends. He denied it. But still, throughout dinner and bedtime, I reiterated that he shouldn't hit his friends.
I feel so ashamed. I'm trying to keep my head clear about this, but I have no idea how to react.
