Weekend at Grandma's

Patrick spent the weekend with Grandma while Mike and I started to get the house ready to go on the market.  While we missed him, it appears Patrick didn't even notice we weren't around.

Patrick rode the carousel with Grandma for the first time.  Apparently, he loved it!

Relaxing Before the Work Starts

We have a lot to do before heading to North Carolina in a few months.  We were lucky enough to have a few days of rest and relaxation in Long Beach Island, a great seaside town on the Jersey Shore.

I thought he would be frightened and/or cold of the water and waves, but he LOVED it.  He couldn't get enough of the ocean, even when the waves hit him smack in the face!

Patrick got his first dose of "Noggin."  I think he liked it.

We didn't bring a booster seat and he could barely see over the table, so we did what we had to.  Interestingly enough, he did really well eating this way.  And he got to wear Uncle Joe's hat over his own.

Patrick and Cousin Gabriel got along famously.  When they weren't fighting, that is.  :)

Patrick climbed into the wagon and kept saying "bye bye".

News

Dear Internets,

I know I've been distant in my posts, but life has taken over and man, oh man, is life busy.  I have news, though, news that will more than likely give me reason to blog.

Here goes:  we are moving to North Carolina.

Mike was offered a work transfer and after much thought, we decided to take the plunge and just do it.  It's a great opportunity for him, and in turn, for the three of us.  So... off we go.

Not sure of a date of departure, we have lots to take care of here:  home sales, packing, actually, you know... moving.  So it could be a few months.

If there is anyone out there with knowledge of North Carolina, specifically the Raleigh area, please reach out to me at thesnowapewife[at]gmail[dot]com.
