Happenings Around Town (and home)

We got Patrick a new pup tent to match Cousin Owen's.  This was his first time inside it.  He crawled out of it immediately I snapped this picture.

No, I'm Not Ignoring You

While I admit that I take the easy way out at times by posting photos and videos, I truly am not ignoring you out there in the cyberworld.  My world has suddenly become consumed with episodes of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, an never ending pile of laundry, and work.  Not just housework, but regular "get paid for" work.  And I am seriously considering going back to work full-time, which will cut into a chunk of my already limited free time.

But still, we trek along.  I am still motivated to stay active and eat healthy.  I am spending good quality time with Patrick, who continues to amaze me daily with his development and intelligence.  Not only that, he makes me laugh on many occasions during the day.  Mike and I are doing out thing too - although I had to convince him this morning that he does NOT have salmonella poisoning from eating peanut butter.  We are really excited about all our shows back on the air, including Lost, which we watched the other night with our mouths hanging wide open.  Yes, we continue to be dorks.  :)

So, yeah, things are good.  Surviving.  And taking it one day at a time.

Have a great weekend!

Month 15

Yes, my little boy continues to grow.  Apparently, I have no say in what happens when it comes to this.  Enjoy this month's video:

Bad Habits

I surely wasn't the one to teach Patrick this one.  It came from his father, 100%.  I'm going to have to nip this one quick, but it's so darn cute!

Motivation

I had a conversation the other day with someone about motivation. "I'm just not motivated to do anything," she told me.  And I said, "Well, you're too young to not be motivated."

Of course, hours later, I was still thinking about it.  I consider myself to be a motivated person - I keep my son clean, my family fed, my house clean.  But there are times, especially when it comes to myself, where my motivation tapers off.  I "forget" to do things for myself.  I get "tired" and want to veg out.

And so, in light of the new year, I am jumping on the motivation bandwagon: I am going to carve time out for myself.  I decided to take Zumba lessons.  All motivated, I checked when the classes were held and decided that the Tuesday evening time slot worked for me.  I called this morning to reserve my spot, and the class is postponed until next week.   What the what?  I haven't even started and already, it's not working out.  Oh yeah, I could think that, but I won't.  I plan on taking out my Wii Fit, dusting it off and having some fun on it tonight hula hooping.

Let's get motivated, people!
