Making Childhood Memories
I grew up in a dead-end street, with kids in practically every house on my block.
Patrick is very fortunate to live on a cul-de-sac with lots of kids as well.

Thankful for another yearly visit
One of my oldest and closest friends drove through town yesterday and we snapped up a photo o our kids together. We rarely see eachother, usually when her family droves through Raleigh on their way north from Florida. And we never take a photo. But this year, I didn't forget. This was the year we almost didn't see eachother again.
I'm grateful for science and modern medicine and the folks that saved my friend so our children could play together, just like she and I did 30 years ago.

Ten Years
It's been ten years since I packed my trusty Toyota and moved from Miami to the northeast, to experience my first job in the big city. Never in my wildest dreams, could I have imagined the way my life turned out.
In those ten years, I have gained a husband, a son, a new family through in-laws, countless friends, and the work experience of a lifetime. I regret nothing.
So on my 36th birthday, I celebrate. Not just the day of my birth, but choices (no matter how difficult they seemed to be at the time) I have made and the successes and failures I have seen during this journey.
