Mission: Mickey Mouse
He loves Mickey Mouse. But he gets anxious when he sees stuff he likes and the priceless reaction is crawling.

Destination: Mickey
We took the Amtrak Autotrain down here. Patrick enjoyed torturing us on the ride down. Here he is, pretending to behave.
The next morning, an hour from the Orlando area, he decided to eat. I think he was as anxious as we were to get off the train.
We're taking the boy to see the Mouse today. More photos to come...

Nearing the end
Today was Patrick's last day of daycare. As he would say, "all done." And while he gave hugs and blew kisses and smiled the entire way out, I was thisclose to tears walking out the door. I managed to wait until a few minutes ago as I went through his backpack. The teachers made him a beautiful memory book full of photos from his first day until recently. I know he won't remember any of this, but to me, the memory of his first friends outside of the family will be everlasting. (Eventually, I will get the book scanned and post, just not this week...)
His group of teachers had no hidden agenda with him. They aren't family. But they love him. They really love him. It takes a special group of people to exhibit that kind of love for their work and Mike and I have been extremely lucky to have had the priviledge of enrolling Patrick at this daycare.
With Patrick's last day of school, we begin the journey to the end of our time in New Jersey. The relocation company takes possession of our house later this week. The moving van is coming on Friday. We say goodbye to the house on Saturday morning and so on and so on.
While this chapter closes, I am trying to look forward and imagine the possibilities and opportunities that await us as a family. And more importantly, I look forward to the adventure that Patrick will embark upon.
There's no looking back now, onward and forward!
Lazy weekend morning. Patrick brought down Poochie for breakfast.
Immediately, he thought better of it, and got rid of him - no breakfast sharing!
Momma, I need oatmeal! STAT!
