Tagged Again

I've been tagged by the lovely Freckle Face Girl. I was hoping I wouldn't get tagged with this particular one, but I can't deny FFG. Here goes:

Six Weird Things About Me

  1. I normally wake up in a good mood. By this, I mean that I am able to wake up and strike up a conversation. I rarely require coffee/caffeine to get me going. Anyone I have ever lived or vacationed with find this trait extremely annoying. I think my co-workers hate it too, since I am able to walk in to the office and immediately start chatting about anything and everything.
  2. I am a first class organizer. Just look at my post from yesterday. If the bed isn't made every morning, I cannot function at work. I just keep thinking about how awful the room looks with multiple sheets all tangled up. If Mike leaves after me, I practically have to bed him to make the bed. If it doesn't get made, I will come home and regardless of the time, make the bed. I arrange all my shirts on hangers and they all must face the same direction. I like to clean the fridge out every few days and rearrange the items.
  3. When watching television or listening to the radio, the slightest melodramatic music or voice will scare me. For as long as I can remember, I have not been able to watch Unsolved Mysteries. The host's voice really freaks me out. And I don't like the element of surprise in mysteries. Ironically, I love shows like Lost, Law and Order - SVU and CI, and Criminal Minds.
  4. I tape the Rachael Ray show every single day even though I am completely irritated by her. There is something about watching the show (sometimes on fast forward) and making fun of her butt and her terrible interviewing skills that brings joy to my day.
  5. I love shopping on online. I used to be skeptical about eBay, but now, I am a huge fan. I buy all kinds of things online: books, music, movies, soap, shampoo and conditioner, cotton balls. With the exception of clothes and shoes, I have probably bought it online.
  6. I am a coupon clipper. I love the thrill of using coupons every week at the grocery store and saving over $10. My obsession with coupons is so extreme, I have joined a coupon train group.

How's that for weird? There are many more weird things about me, but I thought these things revealed a lot about me and everyday personality.

I am tagging my bff on this one. She's even weirder than I am.

Yum-O? How about stupid-o?

Somehow, I don't think Rachael Ray is her upbeat self today.

The latest on RR, right here.

I wonder if she read about herself online and then ran to the bedroom to spit all over her husband.

Famous people are weird.

Everyone Needs a Little R & R - eConversation with BFF

Me: I've been watching the Rachael Ray show. Just to make fun of her.

ACB: OMG, you are watching Rachael Ray? How are you not slitting your wrists?

Me: I am dying as I watch her show, but it makes me laugh. I am laughing at her for a complete hour. Have you seen the show? I hope that after she had Oprah on, she calms the hell down. She's all over the place with her talking over guests and chatting and shouting.

ACB: Hmmm, I"ll have to DVR an episode of Rachael Ray. Ok, you've convinced me. :) There was an article in Time about her. It compared her to Barney. Cause kids lover her. Like kids love barney but their parents hate Barney. Same with her. Kids love her and parents hate her. That and she has a big head. Literally, a big head.

Me: I think she has more of a big ass than a big head. Seriously, she was wearing jeans on her show yesterday and her ass was like ALL OVER THE TV SCREEN.

My Brush With Greatness

Last night, MGE and I went into NYC to see Sir Tom Jones at the Nokia Theater in Times Square. It was a belated Christmas gift and also our Valentine's night out. I got off work a little early, we had an early dinner at Ollie's, walked around a little, and finally, went to check out this new theater.

Here we are, before the concert. Prior to taking this shot, we ran into an old co-worker of mine. Weird how that happens sometimes, right? I mean, at a Tom Jones concert?

Sir Tom took the stage and the girls went wild! I've seen Tom a few times before, and the crowd is always very responsive to him. But the NYC crowd was amazing. There was a group of girls wearing pussycat ears. There was a woman standing on her chair, stripping. One woman called out that she wanted to wipe the sweat off of him.

After his "What's New Pusscat?" number, the crowd went even crazier. There were many pairs of panties on the stage, not to mention boxer shorts and bras as well. The woman in the photo above was so excited to see Tom that she didn't notice her belly was hanging right out of the top of her pants. While she was disturbing those around us with her skin, she didn't seen to notice - she was way too busy enjoying the smooth velvety voice of Tom Jones.

Now, wouldn't you believe it? Dancing in front of us was the one and only - Rachael Ray. Since I am posting a picture of she and I, does that mean I have to eat my words regarding my previous posts about her? I don't think so! Look, she was very nice last night. She posed for pictures, shook hands, mentioned that she thought Tom was HOT HOT HOT (apparently, as per my hubby, I agreed with her), and called me Anna Banana. I was so flabbergasted that she was so nice, I forgot to scold her for taking racy pictures for FHM a few years back, ask her to stop saying YUM so much, and mention her new show on XM Radio. Oh well, maybe next time I rub shoulders with her I'll mention it. I'm sure to find her at the next Tom Jones concert!
